30 Day Money Back Guarantee
Standard sized buildings at The Shelter Man are backed by a 30-day money back guarantee. All orders
returned are also subject to a 5% restocking fee. The customer is responsible for all shipping and
handling charges on all returns. The Shelter Man support team must be notified within 30 days of
product delivery in writing to receive a full refund. Item must be returned in new, unused, resalable
condition, and in its original packaging. You must contact us to arrange ALL returns. A credit will be
issued upon receipt of the item to the warehouse minus shipping costs.
No custom orders can be returned or refunded
Shipping and Ordering information
Shipping is calculated by weight and zip code. All claims for missing parts must be made within 10
days of receiving your order. All orders besides accessories are shipped motor freight due to the
weight of product.
The carrier will call to schedule merchandise delivery when you will have unloading help on hand. Your
order may be delivered at least in part by truck due to the characteristics of what you have ordered.
Your responsibilities as the customer are as follows:
- Make sure that your address is capable of accepting this type of shipment.
- Someone must be present for delivery to inspect and sign for your shipment.
- Making note of any shipment damage or shortage on the freight bill.
- Most buildings come in several manageable boxes; in most cases the driver will bring the
Shipment to the back of the truck. You are responsible for removing it from there.
All charges for any redelivery or refusal of the shipment are the customer's responsibility and will be
charged to the customer's original method of payment.
Delivery Times
Most items that are in stock are shipped within 2-3 days of ordering. For all larger structures, you
must ask your sales associate or request via email a time frame for your order shipment. Once an
order has left our warehouse we are not responsible for any delays.
Sales Tax & Currency
All orders shipped outside the state of Maine do not pay sales tax. All orders shipped in the state of
Maine are subject to 5% sales tax. All pick up orders in the state of Maine are subject to 5% sales tax
and are sold at a higher price as nominal freight charges have already been paid, however, when
picking up at one of our locations, the total price will always be a little less than direct shipping.
Email Policy
All information obtained via email by The Shelter Man will be held in strictest confidence. We will not
sell, rent, lend, lease, or otherwise distribute your personal data to other third parties, companies,
individuals, or organizations.

Payment Types and Options
The Shelter Man accepts Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. You may also pay by personal or business
check, as well as money order. (Note: all payments by check must clear The Shelter Man's account
before shipment of product is made.)
Product Warranties
All manufacturer warranties are available upon request before any purchase. Warranty hard copies are
packaged with all products.
WHAT IS NOT WARRANTED: Manufacturers are not responsible for the following: (1) Used products;
(2) Any product that has been used, altered or modified in any way not approved; (3) Depreciation;
(4) Damage caused by lack of reasonable and proper maintenance; failure to follow instructions,
directions, drawings and renderings; improper installation, misuse, lack of proper protection during
installation, use or storage; (5) Damage resulting from accident, falling objects; (6) Damage due to
normal maintenance or lack thereof; (7) Exposure to harmful chemicals, fumes or other substances,
foreign or natural in the atmosphere; (8) Acts of God, which includes but is not limited to wind
damage, excessive snow-load, flood, hail, fire: or (9) Unforeseen causes or circumstances, such as but
not limited to adding load to the structure, or external forces.
In addition, there is NO guarantee of snow-load or wind-load, unless stamped engineered
drawings have been provided for your shelter or building. Only engineered truss buildings have
these available at an additional cost.
FAILURE DUE TO IMPROPER INSTALLATION IS NOT COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY.
